
Express Entry
First introduced in January 1, 2015, Express Entry is an online system that manages applications for permanent residence from skilled workers. Candidates are invited based on their skills and ability to contribute to Canada’s economy. Candidates are ranked using point-based system and invitations to apply (ITA) is sent to candidates with the highest scores in the pool.
Candidates must be eligible for one of three Express Entry program.
1. Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

English or French CLB 7 for TEER 0/1 OR CLB 5 for TEER 2/3

1-year Canadian work experience in TEER 0/1/2/3 in the last 3 years (full-time or part-time)

2. Federal Skilled Worker (FSW)

English or French CLB 7

1-year continuous Canadian or foreign work experience in TEER 0/1/2/3 in the last 10 years (full-time or part-time)

3. Federal Skilled Trades (FST)

English or French CLB 5 for speaking and listening, CLB 4 for reading and writing

2 years Canadian or foreign work experience in following skill trade in the last 5 years (Full-time or part-time)
